Runescape Money Making Guide

Q1) Have you just started out playing this game? Just finished your introduction and need a way to raise your combat and make runescape gold at the same time?

A1) Well is a way you can make money straight away:

. Kill Cows, these are all very low levelled and easy for beginners. They are a lower level than goblins and you will find that their hides sell for about 100gp each. This for a starting out idea is not bad. You can sell them almost instantly on the General Exchange. (This is also good for when your training lower skills) (level 2)

. Bear (level 19) ~found north of falador, past the named villains on way to wilderness~ (Item = bear Fur)

. (Sorry I’m not really a fighter so I don’t know what sort of things you could make money on other than these till higher lvls)

Once you reach a high enough level you might be interested in these creatures:

FREE TO PLAY

Examples:

. Hill Giants (Level 28) ~found in underground passage west of Varrock (needs brass Key for shed entrance) can also be accessed down the ladder next to Edgeville Yew Trees (Right at other end, BEWARE: hobgoblin lvl 28 and zombies lvl 26)

. Moss Giant (level 43) ~found in Varrock Sewer~ (BEWARE: multi-combat area (everyone can attack, must hit most for drop))

. Lesser Demon (level 82) ~found in Crandor / Karamja dungeon~ (BEST DROP: Rune Med Helm)

MEMBER

Examples:

. Moss Giants (level 43) ~found above Ardougne next to fishing guild (go north-west as you see fishing guild)~

. Fire Giants (level 86)

~found in:

.Chaos tunnels

.Wilderness(Members)

.Kharid Desert Dungeon

.Brimhaven Dungeon

.Baxtorian Falls

. ALL Dragons (Baby Dragons only drop Babydragon bones which are decent money but not as good as Dragon Bones and Dragonhide)

Magic (members only):

. Ok, this is a field everyone thinks looses money but here is where everyone is wrong. As soon as you can perform Varrock teleport you can start to make money from this and this is how it works:

. The secret is called Tab making. Tabs are those spells that come imprinted in soft clay allowing people to use the spell without skill level or runes, now people don’t always know how to make them so here goes:

. This requires money to perform unless you have great runecrafting, you will need to buy these materials:

. Runes to perform Teleport (use air staff instead of runes)

. Soft clay (easy to mine clay, then add water)

. A person with a lectern oak or better (different Lecterns = different tabs possible to be made (found in study area))

. Once you have the materials you may use your own lectern, or if you check the forums you will often see people advertise their lectern as open (I do sometimes)

. Click on the lectern in somebodys house (or own) and then click the tab you want to make.

(Remember that camelot tabs are best money making teleport tabs)

. Another way is alchemy, this is a strange field but here goes:

. The only way to make money from Alchemy is to make your own longbows and use high alchemy. Also you may only use yew longs and mage longs. (use fire or lava staff)

. Best money is to cut the logs, but small profits can also be made by making bowstrings.

. If you can make your own nature runes then you may buy yew longs from the general exchange (also good money).

Woodcutting:

. To buy runescape money from runeup.com is easy and simple:

(Free to play):

1) Cutting yews, these sell as logs but you can also use them in fletching for profit (if a member)

(Member):

1) Cutting maples is the first form of money but is not very good as many people will tell you it is.

2) Ok Magic trees are 1.2K a log, however this is why I added this to the guide. Magic logs are in no way the best way for money, no matter what your woodcutting level is you will find magic logs take a long time to cut. These are good if you have trouble collecting large numbers of materials, but yews are better money for time spent and better experience. Do not be pulled into cutting Magic trees because of single log prices.

Fishing:

. To make money in fishing there are many ways of doing this so here goes:

(Free to Play):

1) Fishing Lobsters is by far the best way to get cheap runescape money in free to play from fishing, however the only downside to this is that the only fishing spot for these is Karamja which has no bank.

(Member):

1) Monks (after swan song) are not just good experience but also decent value.

2) Fish Trawler, only some of these are decent money.

3) Sharks (level 80+ (untill 80 lobsters are better money))

Fletching (member):

. only yew longs are decent money here (best money if you make own materials but still profitable when buying all resources)

Runecrafting:

. all these are good rs money if you like drawling tasks such as this.

Mining:

. Gold Ore

. Coal

. Mithril ore and up
